Etruscan Food

The Etruscans were great lovers of food and drink. They threw huge parties and enjoyed drinking wine. The wine was very concentrated and had to be diluted before drinking. Etruscan food was plentiful due to the fertile land. Beans were the main staple of the Etruscan diet. The Etruscans raised goats and used the goat's milk to make cheese. They hunted wild game and raised pigs and poultry. Upper classes dined mostly on meat while the lower classes ate mostly fruits and vegetables.
